Nottingham Castle and the legend of a hero...

To start off this post..., first things first..., apologies to everyone who has waited for this post for so long (More like forever...)...!! Today was just was one of those rare days..., that I could actually get some free time in between to update on this blog...Well nothing much..., as I have mentioned in my previous announcement post..., I was having writers block and have just been busy juggling between assignments and not to mention life...(With the graduation ceremony just around the corner...)...(-____-''')...Hmm..., maybe I should just design a blog for random thoughts or reflections instead of a full story...(I wonder..., if that would be any easier...) What do you think...?? But anyhow..., without further ado..., let's start this post off shall we...?? (^____^)...

Everyone knows the story of Robin Hood..., the costumed green outlaw/ 'Vigilante'..., with the help of his merry men..., robbed from the rich in order to give to the poor...A legend and maybe a myth just like any other fairy tale heroes and villains..., Robin Hood would often help the defenceless as well as the weak against the ruthless and evil Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John's iron fist rule of charging higher taxes across the land...As you take a walk along the streets in the city site..., you will find different illustrated panels of key moments to the story..., such as Robin's confrontation with the giant 'Little John'..., how he shot an arrow while being completely drunk and not to mention the final confrontation where the..., Sheriff of Nottingham tried to trapped Robin and his band of outlaws by organising an archery competition...However..., our hero manages to escape certain death..., marries the love of his life and continues his never ending crusade to bring justice onto the land..., until his dying day where he lay and shoots his final arrow...(Or what the legend tells us...)

When I was younger though..., I was exposed to Robin Hood by Walt Disney with their 1973 animation featuring animals...After that..., came the 1991 movie version starring Kevin Costner..., where as my parents told me..., (which I hardly could remember...) cried or was too scared to continue watching the final scene in the cinema...(^____^''')...Years later..., the BBC (British broadcasting corporation...) too came out with their very own series..., which retells the story of how Robin came to Nottingham and sought to right the wrongs of the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and his henchmen...But I guess..., the more accurate as well as best version out of these so far..., has got to be the 2010 movie version starring Russell Crowe..., which tells another side of how the hero was born...
